Color

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
Why would I want to begin it with a blog? Who cares? No one. That doesn't matter.
I'm doing this for me.
The post today is "color."
When I began in this life I was beguiled, enchanted, bewitched by color. I can remember being very tiny and going to St. Michael's (St. Mike's), Catholic Church and just enjoying the color of the stained glass windows. I went back to that church 40 years later and the same windows were there and it was the very same color. The stained glass was so pure and vivid with clarity and color.
Course, without light, there is an absence of color. Or at least the color and the light need each other to be enjoyed by us as physical beings. I also remember being at St. Mike's at night and the color wasn't there anymore... what fun was that? As a child I wondered what happened to it. I was already a scientist in the wonder of it all.
Today, when we go out and enjoy our cup of coffee and feed the sparrows, the finches, and the scrub jays and we chase the squirrels off the bird feeder, light will be present. Once this "June gloom" wears away, color will be dramatic and vibrant once again.
What do I want to experience today? Order, harmony, and peace. That and getting some work done! So, I am off! To make coffee! To read chapters in Judge Thomas Troward's "Edinburgh Lectures." To read my daily reading from the "Science of Mind" textbook.
It's a good day!
